This is now Bici713 And has nothing whatsoever to do with houston fixed gear that was there before.
It is owned by a great guy, Michael who is engaged and constantly upgrading staff and bikes, etc. He is involved in the community and when I bought my son's bike there the staff bent over backward to get it right.
As he was riding about a month after getting the bike a man with a dog allowed the dog to jump in front of the bike and he swerved and fell to avoid hitting the dog. Well, he ended up with some minor scrapes, but a wheel that was no longer aligned. I took the bike into bici713 and the next day they had squared all up. I asked how much and they said: "No Charge" (I think they like dogs too!)
So, give them a try. I posted this review on houston Fixed Gear also as it still shows up with a lot of bad ratings.

Great layout and fixed gear bikes!

You can also rent bikes for the day and check out the Montrose area. Employees were friendly, not pushy and let you wander around just to look.  Scored a brooklyn crusier...with box on back!

Also they have cool fridays where you can get espresso or a lone star.

The only thing they lack is the pretense and snobbery of west coast bike shops

I've gone here twice to buy a bike. I've walked out both times with my money in my wallet. Shop is cool for sure. The staff seem knowledgeable. I guess they just don't like to sell bikes. This shop is kinda like a really cool T-shirt shop that only sells really cool T-shirts in size M.

I've heard only great things about this shop before finally getting a chance to stop by this past weekend. If I were to own a bike shop, this is exactly how I would want it run. They have awesome service, great attention to detail, really unique, beautiful high-end as well as really great budget-friendly bikes and parts. It's also just a great looking shop overall. I live in another state but if I were still living in Houston, this would definitely be my go-to bike shop for everything.

In my opinion one of the nicer bike shops in Houston, Always clean and staff is friendly. I didn't realize how much I wanted a bike until I stepped into this shop lol after a few test runs I went with a green frame w/purple handlebars. Great quality bikes
