I've been a customer at Bicycle Odyssey since 2009. The staff is always helpful, and Tony, the owner, in particular has always taken very good care of me, as I have seen him do with everyone. He's owned the place for many decades, and as a local small business, it has all the uniqueness and charm that is lacking in most newer bike shops.
His selection of bikes is pretty much unparalleled, and he also is great with bike fits. Other nice touches are the public restroom and bike pump, which I have used numerous times on my commute to SF from Marin. Highly recommend! -

Tony runs the best, nicest bike shop around. That includes the city. These guys put me on a new higher-end bike without any pressure, no judgement, and nothing but information. I went in there 3 times after a (free) fitting to test ride a carbon Focus and they didn't mind. Tony and Wes know their stuff, inside and out.

I've been to bike stores in more than 15 states, 3 countries and this is the best bike store ever! They've helped me on the quick when my tire had a gash, and to fit me for a new bike. Tony got it right for the frame and all components. Even with my limited ability to explain what I wanted. It is true that service can be "slow". But hang in there as it is more than worth the wait.

There are so many bike shops in Marin that just want to sell you a bike or some clothes and send you on your way. This is not that shop. I've been in the bike biz for a long time and this is a very old school shop.
Tony Tom is very knowledgeable and not particularly sales-y. That goes for his employees as well. You won't get quick service on a weekend, but it will be good service when you get it and it will be fairly priced. If you come in a few more times, you'll get slightly better service because the staff will remember you. That's how old school bike shops work.
Bike Odyssey is one of the very best, especially if you kind of know what you're looking for. If you're a complete novice this place can be overwhelming because it's so jam packed with bikes, stuff, staff, customers, the odd neighborhood pet, etc. -

Outstanding service at a really reasonable price. I lost the key to my wheel skewer in the middle of my bike camping trip and got a flat. I was able to patch it without taking off the wheel, but decided to stop by shortly thereafter to get the skewer replaced and avoid testing my luck again. The owner and an employee were both friendly and understood that I wanted to get back out on the bike asap - I was out of the store in 10 minutes, with a perfectly running bike and receipt for $20 less than I had expected to spend.

First off, this review is long over due.
I've purchased 4 bikes from Bicycle Odyssey over the past couple of years. All of these bikes were for very different purposes and different people. Tony and the shop did an amazing job of finding bikes within my budgets and to meet my needs. My point being: They will find the right bike for your needs and your budget, so go into the shop with an open mind, you never know what you'll fall in love with.
If you have Campy components put this shop on your short list. I've found over the years that lots of shops know how to work on Shimano but a good Campy shop is few-and-far-between.
So whether you need a tube, want to look at some cool bikes, or need a new mountain, cross, cafe cruiser, road bike, ... this place is worth a visit.
To be completely transparent I have no association with this shop other than I like it and I like the people that work there. I also work in advertising and my writing takes on the bent, just in case my review came off that way. -

I was starting my morning ride when my one of my gear-shifters died a fatal death. I walked into ABO for the first time ever, and Tony found a spare for me, swapped it for my fouled one, and I was on my way within an hour. Best service. Nicest guys. A real old-school shop, with the kind of friendly service i see almost never anymore, anywhere.
THANK YOU!!!!
